Event detail:

Although agricultural commodity prices have fallen, the world is still far from achieving SDG 2 of eradicating hunger and malnutrition by 2030. Nearly 300 million people faced food crises last year, and the number of people on the brink of famine doubled. Factors such as conflict, cuts in international aid and an inefficient global financing system aggravate the situation. In this context, a seminar will be held during the WB-IMF Spring Meetings to bring together key actors from the public, private and international sectors, in order to mobilize resources, strengthen food value chains and promote stability and economic development.
